Multi-Flight Tournaments

Multi-Flight tournaments consist of several stages (usually two). During the first stage, players may register for various starting flights, labeled ‘Flight 1x’ (e.g., 1A, 1B, 1C).

Qualification and Stacks Each Flight 1‘x’ tournament is played until a specific percentage of the field remains (e.g., 15%). These remaining players automatically qualify for the Final Stage.

Best Stack Forward Policy - Players are permitted to enter multiple flights, even if they have already qualified for the Final Stage.

  • If a player qualifies from multiple flights, only their largest chip stack will count toward the Final Stage.

  • Any smaller stacks earned in other flights will be forfeited and removed from play.

  • The chips from different flights are not combined.

Examples

Scenario A: Elimination and Re-entry Player 1 and Player 2 register for Flight 1A.

  • Player 1 is eliminated. They may register for Flight 1B to try again.

  • Player 2 qualifies for the Final Stage. Under the "Best Stack Forward" rule, Player 2 may still register for Flight 1B if they wish to try and achieve a larger starting stack for the Final.

Scenario B: Improving a Stack Player 3 plays Flight 1C and qualifies for the Final Stage with a short stack (e.g., 1,000 chips).

  • Player 3 decides to play Flight 1D to try for a better result.

  • Outcome 1: Player 3 busts Flight 1D. They will advance to the Final using their original 1,000 chip stack from Flight 1C.

  • Outcome 2: Player 3 qualifies from Flight 1D with 5,000 chips. They will advance to the Final with the 5,000 chip stack. The 1,000 chip stack from Flight 1C is forfeited.
