Why was the document I used for verification rejected?
Why was the document I used for verification rejected?

Curious about why the Veriff tool gave your verification a little hiccup? Let's break it down for you!

Your verification might have hit a snag for various valid reasons, and yes, even a few quirky ones - we'll affectionately call them that. πŸ˜„

First off, the "serious" stuff - documents could have been rejected if they expired. Keep it fresh with up-to-date US-issued documents to breeze through verification.

Next, your document needs to be in the cool club of supported ones: ID card, driver's license, or residence permit. Sadly, others won't make the cut. Apologies for that! πŸ˜…

Now, onto the "other reasons":

If the images of your document or selfie were a bit on the blurry side, the system might have said, "Try again, please." Give it another shot with clearer images.

Make sure your ID card is without damage and all text & numbers are clearly readable.

A verification tool will also detect an attempt of biometric forgery in case the selfie is taken from an old photograph or other device screens. When taking your selfie/ID pictures following the Veriff guide, make sure to take a photo of the physical ID document/selfie.

Another quirk could be if you've already created an account. In that case, reach out to our support team. They'll guide you through details for your original account since we're all about keeping things single-account chic on our site. No duplicate accounts are allowed by our ToS.

Feel free to reach out if you need any assistance!
