Knockout Tournaments

There are two types of knockout schemes:

  1. Standard Knockout: The player receives the full knockout prize for eliminating another player.

  2. Progressive Knockout: A portion of the knockout prize is awarded to the player for eliminating someone (typically 50%), while the remaining part is added to that player’s bounty. The more opponents they eliminate, the higher the bounty on their own head, making them a bigger target.

Example:

  • Starting bounty per player: 10 SC

  • Bounty percentage awarded: 50%

Process:

  • Player1 knocks out Player2 and receives a 5 SC reward. Player1’s bounty increases to 15 SC.

  • Player3 knocks out Player1, earning a reward of 7.5 SC. Player3’s bounty becomes 17.5 SC.

Satellite Tournaments

Satellite Tournaments serve as qualifiers for larger tournaments. Winners typically receive a ticket to enter a higher buy-in tournament. These tournaments often have multiple stages and provide a chance for players to qualify for prestigious events that might otherwise be out of their budget.

Early Bird Bubble Protection

Early Bird Bubble Protection provides players who register before the tournament commences with a chance to win their buy-in back if they finish just 1 position short of the awarded places.

Bubble Protection is not available for Satellite Tournaments.

Re-entry Tournaments

In a Re-entry Tournament, players who are eliminated can re-enter the tournament by purchasing the Buy-in + Entry Fee (which may vary). Re-entry is available during the Late Registration Period and cannot be used for tournaments without late registration. Players can re-enter multiple times during this period.
